Private GP Service

Need to see a doctor?

The private GP service was set up in 2010 to provide a bespoke, complementary doctor-led service that is free from long waiting times and endless data collection. It does not follow the format of 10 minute appointments for “only one problem” service model. 

The Private GP service at Ashtead Hospital is run by a highly experienced local GPs.  Each doctor is a member of the Royal College of GPs, and a GP principle. Each of our carefully selected doctors is approved by the Ashtead Hospital Medical Advisory Committee and supported by the hospital governance structure. Our doctors has over 10 years’ UK general practice experience. Their specific interests include training, musculoskeletal medicine, pain management, complementary therapies, cardiology, prescribing and chronic disease management. Appointments are offered almost every day out of normal working hours for you to see one of our experienced, active and up to date GP doctors.  All of them offer variable consultation times from 20minutes onwards.

This is a fast and flexible service and we offer be-spoke health assessments, physiotherapy and vaccinations. We also offer access for cross referrals to specialist consultants or to diagnostic investigation.

Failure to attend with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at 50% of the appointment charge. Any diagnostic tests carried out are charged separately.

If you have private medical insurance please check your cover with your insurer prior to making a claim. All prices are available on request.
