Intense pulsed light (IPL)
Intense pulsed light is a non-invasive and non-abrasive treatment that uses high intensity pulses of visible light to improve the appearance of many skin problems, including:
- Facial veins – bright red thread veins on your face around your nose and cheeks.
- Haemangiomas – small red scratches or bumps on your face and neck.
- Acne rosacea – flushing and tiny spots as small blood vessels become visible.
- Sun damage – age spots. This treatment isn’t suitable for patients with a sun tan or fake tan.
- Skin pigmentation – darker skin area.
IPL is a painless, walk in walk out, treatment that targets cells with colour such as blood vessels, sun damage and pigmentation. It heats the lower dermal tissue without harming the outer epidermal layers of your skin. It induces damage to these areas using heat energy and your body then naturally creates new cells and collagen. The collagen can push up to your skins surface to create a healthier and more youthful look.
We can adjust the energy used, timing and wavelength to suit your individual requirements.
A course of treatments may be necessary to achieve your desired result and top-up treatments are usually required once or twice a year to help maintain it.
Pelleve treats facial, neck and chest wrinkles to create firmer, tighter and younger looking skin.
Collagen levels naturally reduce as you age and this causes your skin to lose elasticity. Pelleve refreshes your skin’s appearance by using radio frequency energy to warm your skin at a deep level and encourage new collagen production.
It’s a painless procedure that is performed in less than an hour on an outpatient basis and creates immediate visible results that last. Three treatments over three months is recommended to improve your skin’s tone and texture. An annual top up will maintain your improved skin appearance.
Microsclerotherapy is a technique used to treat thread or spider veins in your legs. It’s a straightforward and effective outpatient procedure that involves a series of microinjections directly into the vein. A sclerosant agent is used to irritate the lining of your vein and the vein gradually closes off and your blood reroutes. The damaged vein is then naturally reabsorbed into your body.
We examine your legs, sometimes using a duplex machine to scan them and then tailor the treatment for each patient. We will advise on the number of sessions required at your consultation.
