Mr Saha is triple specialised in Cataract Surgery, Retinal Diseases and Emergency Ophthalmology.  Appointed as the youngest Consultant at Moorfields since Harold Ridley (the inventor of the intraocular lens used in all cataract surgery).

Undergraduate and postgraduate studies at University of London and University of Oxford.  Post-graduate thesis in wound healing.

Fellowship training at Moorfields in Cataract Surgery, Medical Retina, Uveitis.

Current research centres around optimising lens calculations for cataract surgery and Artificial Intelligence Learning in cataract surgery.  Other previous projects include developing alongside polymer scientists at Imperial College London a cataract surgical device, co-founding the first pan-London Virtual Macular Degeneration clinic at Moorfields, and working with NHS innovation on new technology in eye care.
