Mr Chougule graduated in Medicine from Grant Medical College and continued his higher specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in Mumbai, India and his Masters in 2001. He practiced as an orthopaedic surgeon in India with his main focus on lower limb and trauma cases for four years before coming to the UK. Also during his time in India, he also worked as a University Lecturer.
When he arrived in the UK, he undertook further training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in the south east of England. Mr Chougule completed his specialist training in 2010 and gained further experience in lower limb surgery until 2015 when he joined East Surrey Hospital as a consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics. Currently, he is an educational supervisor for junior trainees and orthopaedic trainees of Kent Surrey & Sussex Deanery.
Special Interests include foot and ankle surgery, soft tissue injuries, bunion removal, hip replacements, hip resurfacing, knee arthroscopy, knee replacements, joint manipulation treatment and joint pain treatment(injections). He has also gained extensive experience in trauma surgery and sports injuries.
