Mr Paul Hamilton is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in foot and ankle conditions.

Clinical interests

Paul Hamilton is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust with a special interest in all foot and ankle surgery.

All surgical procedures of the ankle, hindfoot, midfoot and forefoot including arthroscopic procedures and arthroplasty.

Conditions treated:

- Bunion correction
- Forefoot reconstruction
- Mortons neuroma
- Degenerate, traumatic or inflammatory midfoot and hindfooot  conditions
- Tendon or ligament problems includuing Achilles tendon,     peroneal tendon and tibialis posterior dysfunction
- Ankle instability
- Ankle pain or arthritis
- Foot and ankle sports injuries

Academic background

Paul completed his higher surgical training in 2009.  During this period he completed a sports foot and ankle fellowship at Basingstoke General Hospital and a further foot and ankle fellowship at Guys and St Thomas'.  He has undertaken a travelling fellowship to Boston, USA.  Having completed his training he went on to Addenbrookes's Hospital, Cambridge for a further year of specialist training in trauma, foot and ankle surgery.

He has presented and published research in orthopaedics through the world.  He currently examines on the MSc in trauma and orthopaedics at Brighton University and teaches on several FRCS (Tr & Orth) courses.
