Friday 16 June 2017

Ashtead Hospital enjoyed an evening of rounders at Ashtead Cricket Club whilst raising money for Kent Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance and the hospital’s contribution to the charity is £950.

Consultants and GPs were part of eight teams who battled it out on the rounders pitch with Em’s Eggs being the eventual winners.  Players and spectators enjoyed a BBQ and children and adults alike enjoyed the inflatable assault course and surf machine.

“We are delighted to have been able to raise so much money for our chosen charity whilst having lots of fun on a sunny June evening.” said General Manager, Douglas Watson.

The tournament was played in memory of Pat Newton, a medical secretary at the hospital for 27 years, who sadly died last year. Her husband kindly donated an engraved crystal vase for the winning team.
