Surrey colleagues show their ‘wheelpower’!
On 27 June Louise Tucker and Lisa Lonnon, from Ashtead Hospital,
Surrey, took part in an annual fund raising event for ‘Wheelpower’
- by cycling all the way from London to Brighton.
In temperatures soaring into the 30’s, the dedicated colleagues
completed the 58 mile journey in 7 hours 14 minutes – shade-hopping
along the route!
Lisa and Louise wish a huge thank you to everyone at Ashtead
Hospital who supported and sponsored them. With additional support
from family and friends, they helped raise enough money to purchase
five new Paralympic wheelchairs, which will be used to accommodate
five young sports persons at the 2012 Olympics in London.
